It takes a lifetime to build a reputation – and only seconds to destroy it. Regardless of the size of your company it is likely that at some point you will go through a public crisis. Although every scenario is different, the damage it can cause to your business – be it revenue, stock price or industry reputation – can be very serious and irreparable.
Being prepared with a plan and resources is a critical need. Many companies forgo creating a plan due to cost or because they aren’t sure what to plan for. Crisis Playbook was created to assist small to mid-sized companies – companies that need to plan for a crisis, but do not have the resources for a dedicated crisis team.
What is Crisis Playbook?
Crisis Playbook offers ready-made and custom crisis plans, with support from experienced crisis management and communications experts, for common crisis scenarios – from a reputation threat to an active shooter. It’s always best to be prepared – these pre-crafted plans leverage Fortune 500 company approaches so that you are equipped with the tools you need.
Crisis Playbook, powered by the experts at Bryghtpath, was founded by leaders who led crisis management and crisis communication programs at a Fortune 30 global retailer where crisis prevention had many resources and dedicated teams. They recognized that the operations and communications teams were often disjointed during a crisis, so they collaborated to align their teams and plans. Together, they created best-in-class crisis plans that were tried and tested for years.
After consulting with a wide variety of companies on crisis preparedness and response, they realized that many businesses had no plans, little practice and were unprepared should a crisis occur. After working together on many projects, they joined forces to create plans that will work well as a starting point for any company needing to bring their crisis planning up a notch. Thus, Crisis Playbook was created.
